> Picuki is a free web-based tool for viewing, editing, and downloading publicly available Instagram and TikTok content without an account, app, or login. Started in 2023 to restore the original promise of public profiles being publicly viewable, Picuki now serves users in thirteen languages with dedicated tools for Instagram Stories, Profiles, Posts, Reels, Highlights, and TikTok videos.

## What Picuki does

- **Anonymous Instagram Story viewing**: watch active Stories and pinned Highlights from any public profile without appearing in the viewer list

- **Free**: every feature is available at no cost, no premium tier, no daily download limits, no captcha at session start
- **No account needed**: no registration, no login, no email collection, no Instagram credentials ever requested
- **Public content only**: private Instagram profiles are not accessible through Picuki — this is a hard limit enforced by Instagram's API
- **Anonymous Story viewing**: the account owner does not see your username in their Story viewer list because Picuki acts as the requester, not you

- **Funded by ads**: advertising placed in the page layout around the viewer, never inside the viewer itself

## What Picuki cannot and will not do

- Access private Instagram profiles — these are gated by Instagram and no third-party tool can bypass them
- Recover deleted Instagram posts — once removed from Instagram, the content is gone permanently
- Show "who viewed your Instagram profile" — Instagram has never offered this feature; any tool claiming to provide it is fabricating data
- Perform actions on behalf of a user (follow, like, comment, message) — Picuki is read-only and view-only
- Collect, sell, or share user data — we do not collect Instagram credentials or personal information about visitors

- The framework sets a session cookie, but it holds no account, login, or personal data — there is nothing to sign in to; analytics are collected via Google Analytics
